In the end of the article you’ll be able to see our first episode on our new video series ‘From Zero to Hero’, an episode presenting everything that we are going to be sharing in our social media platforms, youtube channel and website.

Step 1: Determine Your Goals and choose your path

Paragraph: Before you begin your pilot training, it’s essential to determine what type of pilot you want to become. Do you want to fly for a commercial airline? Maybe you want to be a corporate pilot? Maybe you prefer a career in general aviation, such as flying small private planes or working as a flight instructor?  Each path requires different training and qualifications, so it’s essential to do your research and decide what’s best for you. Determining your goals will help you choose the appropriate training and certification. There is a specific episode in our series of videos on Youtube that explains all of this, in this case episode 2 “Pathways to become a pilot”.

Step 2: Meet ALL the Requirements, before you start

To become a pilot, you need to meet certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 18 years old for commercial pilot training. You must also be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently. Additionally, you must have a valid medical certificate class 1 issued by an aviation medical examiner.
The European Standard doesn’t establish a minimum academic criteria to access pilot training. Having sufficient physical and mental maturity to demonstrate the corresponding knowledge and aptitudes is the only thing required.

You will be able to see EVERYTHING about the medical class one certificate in episode 3 “Everything about The Medical Certificate” of our series of videos on Youtube.

Step 3: Find the Right Flight School

To start your aviation journey, you’ll need to find a flight school where you can learn to fly. There are many flight schools worldwide, offering various types of training programs. To choose the right school, consider factors like location, quality-cost ratio, and the school’s reputation.
At EAS Barcelona we are eager to explain, face to face, why we should be YOUR flight school. We are in one of the greatest locations for flight training in Spain, just 30 minutes from Barcelona, in Sabadell airport. Our quality is of the highest standards and is aligned with a reasonable cost of training. The reviews from our students speak for ourselves.

Step 4: Get the Necessary Training

To become a pilot, you must complete a rigorous training program that includes both ground school and flight training. You will see the complete process and every detail from episode 3 “The ATPL Theory” up to episode 14 “The CPL Rating”. It’s essential to choose a reputable school or program that will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful pilot. You have two ways to become a pilot when doing it with EAS. The integrated way, which is fast and efficient. And the modular way which is a bit slower but very flexible. Both are great ways to become a pilot, you can read the details on both ways on our website’s respective pages for each course. On both you will need to go through all the ratings up to CPL, including the newest UPRT necessary qualification. If you want to go to the Airlines you will also need the MCC-APS which is included in our integrated program.

Step 5: Apply for a job!

Once you have all your pilot’s licenses and flight experience, you can begin applying for jobs. There are many types of job with low hours pilots such as flight instruction, however more and more airlines are hiring fresh pilots out of the flight academies, and now is a great moment to take advantage.

Becoming a pilot requires hard work, dedication, and a passion for aviation. By following the steps outlined in this article and obtaining the necessary training with EAS Barcelona you can achieve your dream of becoming a pilot.

Good luck on your journey!
