To talk about the best airports in the world, we must first talk about the Skytrax World Airport Awards. These are coveted quality awards given to airports around the world and are a global benchmark for excellence.

The 10 best airports in the world in 2019, were voted by users through a universal survey, as a result, we can bring you

Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore’s Changi Airport was named for the seventh consecutive year as the best aviation hub in the world before the opening of the long-awaited Jewel Changi terminal.

“Being voted the world’s best airport for the seventh consecutive year is a truly fabulous achievement for Changi Airport, and this award continues to underscore the airport’s popularity with international air travellers,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of the Skytrax World Airport Awards.

A complex of no less than 135,700 square meters, which features gardens, natural light, more than 280 shops, 24-hour movie theaters and one of the highest indoor waterfalls in the world. This great waterfall can be seen from seven of the building’s levels and colorful light shows will be projected on it at night.

 

Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)

With its domestic and international terminals, Tokyo-Haneda International Airport plays a key role in Japan’s development into a tourism-oriented nation. Haneda has received the awards for Best Airport: more than 70 million passengers; Cleanest Airport in the World, Best Domestic Airport in the World and Best Accessible Facilities for PRM in the World in 2019.

The Haneda terminal has a unique area that delights its visitors, Edo Market Place. This is an area inspired by ancient Japan, with streets typical of the Edo period (1603 – 1868) where you can taste traditional Japanese dishes and buy typical Japanese products.

 

Seoul Incheon International Airport

Breaking into the top three is Seoul Incheon International Airport, one of the world’s busiest airports, which previously won the Airport of the Year award at the World Airport Awards. Incheon International Airport has been awarded with the World’s Best Transit Airport in 2019.

This airport features a golf course, spa, private sleeping facilities, an ice skating rink, a casino, indoor gardens, and of course a Museum of Korean Culture.

Qatar Hamad International Airport

Hamad International Airport, fourth on the list, is at the same time the international airport of Doha, the capital of Qatar. It has been described as the most architecturally valuable terminal complex in the world and the most luxurious. Hamad has received awards for Best Middle East Airport, Best Airport: 30-40 million passengers, and Best Airport Staff in the Middle East 2019.

So the airport has a 25 meter long heated swimming pool, gymnasium and squash courts. The Vitality Spa with its massage rooms and hydrotherapy pools, where you can hire a personal trainer for a few hours.

Hong Kong International Airport

Hong Kong International Airport has won several times the title of Airport of the Year at the World Airport Awards because it serves more than 100 airlines operating flights to some 180 locations worldwide, including 44 destinations in mainland China.

Hong Kong airport has received the awards for Best Airport Catering in the World and Best Airport Immigration Service in the World in 2019.
